The Flottins, an alternative magical town comes to an end in Evian, Lake Geneva

EVIAN (Lake Geneva) – There are only a few days left until the end of one of the most magical displays in the Lake Geneva region, the Flottines. For the past ten years, this giant outdoor exhibit has come to life thanks to the Theatre de la Toupine artists in Evian, neighboring France. The “fabulous village” for kids and grownups alike is made from driftwood found in Lake Léman and surroundings.

The last theatre performance takes place on Wednesday 3 January at 18:00 at Place Charles de Gaulle in Evian — the village however will stand until 8 January. Do not miss the last of the street performances… they are really magical! (for those of you new to the area, you can reach Evian by boat from Geneva via Lausanne, by bus from Geneva via Thonon  or from St Gingolph (Valais), and of course by car.)

Alternatively, “La Tanière” a small outdoor bar with a children’s games area and which hosts other fabulous creatures  is open from 15:00 to 19:00 every day until the 8th.

The cool wooden structures and sculptures (some of which can be considered a feat in design and engineering) are scattered all over town and lead you to the village.
