Geneva, Switzerland – Happy Spring, now that the clocks have move forward, there is a ton of things to do. Here’s a roundup of some notable events for April around Lake Geneva.
Concerts & Other Performing Arts
- 2 April: 70s music revival & dancing, Geneva.
- 2-5 April: Electron Festival – Electronic music takes center stage in this cool Geneva fest which includes an outdoor lounge area.
- 3 April: Good Friday classical music concert at HUG, free with public rehearsal on 3 April.
- 9-12 April: Caprices Festival, Crans-Montana. Kicking off spring with music and the last of the snow.
- 10-18 April: Cully Jazz Festival, Vaud. The coolest little jazz fest in the region. Not to be missed!
- 17 April: Big Daddy Wilson, blues in Geneva.
- 21 April: Dee Dee Bridgewater, jazz at Victoria Hall.
- 17-26 April: Cabaret, Theatre in English by GAOS in Carouge.
- 18 April: Authentic reggae by Jamaican maestro, Clinton Fearon in Annemasse.
- 19 April: Film-Concert: Classical music at the cinema with the Collège de Genève Orchestra and the Suisse Romande Orchestra.
- 24 April: The Bastions Park goes back in time for Nuit Antique, lit by torches with old-style taverns and art.
- 24-26 April: Solaris, Opera in Lausanne.
- 30 April: Country music concert in Plan-les-Ouates, Geneva.
Exhibits
- 18 April: The International Museum of the Reformation celebrates 10 years of existence with outdoor activities and food in Geneva’s old town. Entrance to the museum is free all day.
- Until 19 April — Exhibit: “V” for Venus; “V” for voluptuous, Valérie Maugeri at the Cité du Temps. Free.
Film Fests
- 1-14 April: American classics by Hal Ashby: Shampoo, Bound for Glory (life of Woody Guthrie), Coming Home, The Last Detail, etc., at Grütli Theatre in Geneva.
- 17-25 April: Visions du réel, Nyon film festival, one of the most important film fests in Switzerland.
Flea Markets & Sales

- 24-26 April: The Library in English book sale. Hundreds of books, magazines, books in CDs and more for sale. All in English!

- 26 April: Mountain biking, BMX demos and a 25k ride with the IAM Team. Bring your bike. At the Geneva Airport.
