GENEVA, Switzerland —The Geneva Airport announced today that it will step up its passport checks in response to a directive of the Swiss federal government, and warns of possible delays at the airport.
All passengers will have to undergo full checks at passport control, even Schengen-area residents.
The Swiss Secretariat for Migration took the measure following the European Union call to restrict passport-free travel outside its borders.
