Vaud police to crackdown in A9 construction zone

GENEVA, Switzerland – If you are heading to Montreux pay close attention: Canton Vaud announced the installation of new speed radars as part of a safety initiative to reduce accidents and avoid deaths among road crews.

Vaud police will be enforcing speed limits in construction zones in a new construction project on the A9 highway between Pertit and Montreux.

Several cameras will be mounted in the next few days.

Reminder: Swiss law calls for a max of 80 km/h in construction zones. However, in certain zones the speed limit may only be 60 km/h. Keep an eye out for road signs.
