GENEVA, Switzerland – It is that time of the year when canton Geneva takes movies outside for the benefit of kids and grownups alike. Most films are fan favorites, not new releases. The point here thought, is the experience of the picnic and a movie under the stars.
CinéTransat is the largest of its kind and offers fun “soirées à thème” when many movie goers dress up as characters of the movie showcased. A must-go if you live in Geneva!
Snacks and drinks for sale are available at most screenings. Movies are almost always free. The exception is the Cine du Lac at Port Noir, a more upscale option with a restaurant and lounge bar, it offers current movies (CHF15).
