GENEVA, Switzerland – Geneva police seized 6kg of marijuana and arrested three people, Friday 10 January, during a drug bust in an apartment, which had been under surveillance, in Châtelaine, Geneva.
A 38-year-old man from Sierra Leone who lived at the apartment was arrested along with a 34-year-old Gambian resident of Spain, and a 33-year-old Senegalese living in Portugal.
The Gambian and Senegalese nationals were arrested in a vehicle while they were carrying one kg of the drug.
The Geneva resident was arrested in his apartment in Chatelaine.
The man threw a bag with more than 2kg of marijuana out the window which was later recovered by a canine unit. An additional 3kg were found in his apartment.
