That’s the price tag on Zenvo’s 2014 ST1 super-car which premiered last week at the Geneva International Motor Show.

I had a chance to ogle the ST1 yesterday amidst much horn blaring, as the car show wrapped up this year’s festivities.

So what do you get for USD 1,000,000? A lot boost and not so much bang I was told by Zenvo staff on hand .

This car was specifically designed to amaze without deafening bystanders caught in the tailwind. The 6.8 liter turbocharged and supercharged V-8 produces 1,104 horses  stuffed into a carbon fiber body, that’s roughly 0.65 horsepower per kilo of weight, and just over USD 900 per horse.

So who is buying million dollar cars today? Production for 2014 will include a total of 5 cars.

“That’s really pretty impressive if you look at competitors’ sales in their first years,” the Zenvo rep told me.

Pricetag notwithstanding, the Zenvo’s lines are elegant if aggressive, and bold without being gaudy, something of a rarity among the mega cars today.
