GENEVA – This may be the after-holiday season, but there is still time to give to those less fortunate and without much effort from your part, thanks to a coalition by the Swiss Post, Coop and Red Cross.

First option at the Post Office:

Buy non-perishable food items and/or toiletries and bring them to any Swiss Post office where the parcel will be mailed free of charge to the Red Cross centre in Bern… Just remember to write, “2 x Christmas” on the box.

The Red Cross then takes care of delivering the foodstuffs and toiletries to the various charity associations that work with vulnerable communities around Switzerland.

If unable to come to the Post Office, the box can be picked up from your home, simply request organiser to pick it up.

Second option at the Coop:

At certain Coop supermarkets you can purchase a ready-made CHF25 (or more) parcel. Once bought, hand it to customer service and Coop will deliver to the Swiss Red Cross. The offer is also available as you shop online through coop@home or directly via web purchase on a Coop platform.

Third online option:

Buy a parcel directly from the 2 X Christmas website and it will be delivered to the Red Cross.
