Parliament Opens Doors to Celebrate Swiss National Day

GENEVA, SWITZERLAND – Celebrate Swiss National Day on 1 August visiting the Parliament in Bern.

The federal government opens its chambers to the public from 09:00 to 16:00.

Enjoy the assembly halls of the National Council and the Council of States. In addition, take the opportunity to visit the lobby under the Parliament’s dome and the modern part of the building which are usually closed to the public.

From 10:00 to 11:00, the President of the National Council, Ruedi Lustenberger, and the President of the Council of States, Hannes Germann, will participate in a debate organized by the SRF – better practice your German!

There will also be several information booths, musicians and singers from all over Switzerland.
