ZURICH, SWITZERLAND – The wait is over: Guillermo Ochoa has made his debut with La Liga’s Malaga in a game that tilted 4-1 in favor of the Spanish squad over the Qatar national team.
Qatar which had previously beat Switzerland, began the match in style scoring early in the game (9mins); however, Qatar soon lost ground to Malaga.
Javi Gracia -current manager of Málaga CF – kept Ochoa – the new goalie and major international attraction – in the game until the 63rd minute. The Mexican keeper says he’s happy to have had a chance to play with his new team and looks forward to new challenges.
In spite of this defeat, the future World Cup host is keeping its sight on the Gulf Cup playing five more friendlies in the pre-season.
Malaga is now invict in the pre-season.
