In Evian: a fantastic driftwood village comes to life

EVIAN, France – If you are beginning the new year without plans, here’s a very simple one: head to Evian to see the fantastic Les Flottines village.

Simply follow the suggested route to discover some of the most incredible drift-wood sculptures.

Each wooden structure features a word, if you visit them all, you will discover a short poem.

The tour ends at Evian’s main plaza, next to the Casino, where a small “village” is set-up. Great for grown-ups and kids alike and it is free!

If not driving: take a bus to Thonon and from there to Evian, or directly to Evian from the Gare Routiere in the Geneva city centre; alternatively take a CGN boat.

The Flottines ends on Sunday 3 January.

Happy 2016!
